Everything you need to know about a Chocolate Collective Workshop…
Which workshop is for me?
The Express workshop lasts for 1.5 hours and runs from 11am on a Saturday morning. Designed for those who want a private experience, these workshops are only available for group bookings. To guarantee an exclusive event a minimum of 15 people is required. Ideal for hen parties, birthdays or corporate events.
The Deluxe workshop lasts for 2-2.5 hours and runs from 2pm on Saturday afternoons. These are designed for individuals, couples or smaller groups, looking to learn a new skill, spend some quality time with friends or indulge their passion for chocolate.
What will we make?
Depending on the size of your truffles, you’ll go home with between 15-20 truffles on the Express workshop and between 30-50 truffles on the Deluxe. Perfect as gifts for friends and family, although they taste so good you may want to keep them all for yourself. Our truffles can also be frozen, so you can make your indulgence last even longer…if you have the willpower!
What to wear?
Decisions, decisions…it’s completely up to you but please wear comfortable shoes as you will be stood up during the course. We will provide disposable aprons and gloves to protect your clothing, so feel free to dress up or dress down!
What to bring?
All equipment and ingredients are provided as part of the workshop. But you may want to consider a camera so you can take photos of your fabulous creations (although you will have chocolatey hands 90% of the time!). A bag to carry home your creations could also be useful; we provide packaging for your truffles, but you could be leaving with several bags!
When should I arrive and how long are the workshops?
If you could arrive 10 minutes before the start of your workshop that will give us plenty of time to get you set up, settled and ready feed your chocolate fix!
We don’t provide refreshments however you are welcome to order your own from the hotel or bring non-alcoholic refreshments with you.
Please let us know if you’re celebrating a special occasion such as a baby shower, hen party or a birthday. We’d love to make a fuss of you and always ensure, if you are attending in a party, that you have your own dedicated table.
If you would like to bring your own decorations such as balloons and banners, then please let us know prior to the workshop.
Do you run workshops at home?
We use 64% dark chocolate (certified wheat and gluten free) cream, cocoa powder and desiccated coconut.
Please notify us, prior to attending the workshop, if you are lactose intolerant. We can provide a lactose-free mixture instead of cream. If you are vegan we can also provide a soya cream, again, please just let us know beforehand.
The course is also suitable for vegetarians or for those needing a gluten free diet.
Our courses may not be suitable for people who suffer from nut allergies as ingredients and equipment may have been in contact with nuts.
