If you have booked or are booking one of our chocolate workshops, please read our Chocolate Collective Experience During Covid-19 guidelines. Our safety measures will make sure the time you spend with us is as safe as it is fun!

Chocolate Collective run decadent chocolate workshops to tempt the most discerning of chocolate lovers.

Lasting between 1.5 to 2 hours depending on the workshop you choose, the workshops are a fun and interactive way to learn the art of truffle making with the highest quality Belgian chocolate.

Perfect for hen parties, special occasions, team building exercises or chocolate lovers who simply want a reason to indulge, the workshops are led by chocolatier, Louise Attenborough and her team and are held in Manchester, Birmingham and Leeds.

The workshop begins with a history of chocolate and production process from bean to bar. You will then be shown how to create delicious Belgian truffles by hand from raw chocolate ingredients. Under Chocolate Collective's expert guidance, you will learn how to mix, pipe, cut, shape, coat, and finally package your very own delicious Belgian chocolate truffles.

Created with novice chocolatiers in mind, the chocolate workshops are a delicious way to get creative and learn something new. They are suitable for all ages, gender and abilities and with gift vouchers available, make the perfect present.

Everything you need to know about a Chocolate Collective Workshop…

Which workshop is for me?

The Celebration Workshop lasts for 1.5 hours and can take place at the venue / location and day of your choice. Designed for those who want a private experience, these workshops are only available for group bookings. Ideal for hen parties, birthdays or corporate events.

The Deluxe workshop lasts for 1.5-2 hours and takes place on a Saturday at a venue booked by us. These are designed for individuals, couples or smaller groups, looking to learn a new skill, spend some quality time with friends or indulge their passion for chocolate.

What will we make?

Depending on the size of your truffles, you’ll go home with between 15-20 truffles on the Express workshop and between 30-50 truffles on the Deluxe. Perfect as gifts for friends and family, although they taste so good you may want to keep them all for yourself. Our truffles can also be frozen, so you can make your indulgence last even longer…if you have the willpower!

What to wear?

Decisions, decisions…it’s completely up to you but please wear comfortable shoes as you will be stood up during the course. We will provide disposable aprons and gloves to protect your clothing, so feel free to dress up or dress down!

What to bring?

All equipment and ingredients are provided as part of the workshop. But you may want to consider a camera so you can take photos of your fabulous creations (although you will have chocolatey hands 90% of the time!). A bag to carry home your creations could also be useful; we provide packaging for your truffles, but you could be leaving with several bags!

When should I arrive?

If you could arrive 10 minutes before the start of your workshop that will give us plenty of time to get you set up, settled and ready feed your chocolate fix!

We don’t provide refreshments however you are welcome to order your own from the hotel or bring non-alcoholic refreshments with you.
